Sr Anlyst, Procurement Operations

As a Sourcing Manager at Northern Trust, your role involves partnering with category managers, product managers, business partners, and technical staff to understand requirements of varying complexity. You will interact with suppliers to develop category sourcing strategies and maintain supplier relationships. Providing coaching and mentorship to direct reports and team members will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will conduct strategic relationship reviews, develop category-specific sourcing strategies, and contribute to pricing discussions. Reviewing contracts, sourcing plans, financial models, and analyzing data to identify impacts, issues, and opportunities are crucial aspects of your role. Your accountability extends to creating and measuring value for the sourcing process and analytics, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements for operational efficiency. Your skills and competencies should include prior experience in synthesizing data into strategic recommendations, strong analytical and financial modeling skills, experience with procurement systems like Coupa or Ariba, and the ability to lead and provide guidance to others. Excellent communication skills, the capacity to manage multiple priorities, a solution-oriented mindset, flexibility, and strong process understanding are essential for success in this role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or related field, along with at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or operations analytics. Possessing CPSM or equivalent professional certification is considered a plus.
