What Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.

What our team specifically does

The Anaplan team supports the finance organization by developing and maintaining advanced planning solutions in Anaplan. The team is also responsible for implementing standards and best practices for Anaplan development, providing BAU support for Anaplan models, training Anaplan users and resources at Cardinal Health.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with multiple FP&A and other planning teams to help develop complex planning solutions
• Scrutinize discrepancies, as inquisitive questions, and facilitate conversations with business stakeholders leading to solutions and process optimization opportunities
• Work with multiple Anaplan project implementation teams to support Development, Testing and Production Push efforts
• Oversee the development of technical model documentation and end user training material
• Log and categorize end user requests (tickets), assist with ticket resolution and push model changes to production
• Oversee and provide BAU support for post-production models
• Attend daily scrum calls and workshops as needed
• Establish standard operating protocols for offshore Anaplan development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, and/or Data Sciences (preferred)
• 2-5 years of professional experience with a multinational corporation and/or a professional services firm focusing on business solutions, FP&A or digital/technology enablement (preferred)
• Experience with enterprise performance management, digital transformation, enabling big data / cloud-based analytics strategies (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change
• Team player who possesses strong quantitative and analytical skills, has experience building financial models and enjoys solving and streamlining complex business problems
• Enjoys detailed and challenging puzzles, thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and possesses the aptitude to work independently
• Experience with Agile or Anaplan Way
• Experience working with SaaS solutions connected to a variety of different systems and platforms
• Experience working in an onshore-offshore development model
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to switch contexts between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easily

What is expected of you and others at this level

• Translate existing solutions, spreadsheets, and business problems into Anaplan models
• Maintain existing Anaplan models with a focus on continuous improvement, incorporating new functionality and fixing issues in production to support business objectives and initiatives
• Adhere to model development best practices and design standards in place
• Participate in data integration efforts between internal systems and Anaplan
• Monitor and validate data flows to and from Anaplan platform
• Support UAT testing and deployment with project team
• Utilize and share Anaplan model building best practices
• Open to 3 days work from office, Flex hybrid model
