Job Description

Sr. Advanced Embedded Engr - Engineering NGA

The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Engineering organization is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our product development group located in Bangalore, India.

In this role, primary responsibility will be to develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell s latest cockpit offering - ANTHEM. The engineer must have good knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete defined project subtasks.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master s degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
10+ years of combined system/software/hardware product engineering development experience as a technical solution provider and functional discipline leader.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with functional decomposition desired.
Experience working with customers on Systems/Software requirements required
ARP4754 process knowledge strongly preferred.
Knowledge about EPIC/APEX platform and applications desired.
5+ years of avionics platform system engineering experience highly desirable.
Experience on large, complicated programs preferred.
Academic background in Software Engineering preferred.
Excellent Communication skills.
Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desired
Avionics background, Knowledge, and experience on ARP4754A, Aero Process is required
Positive, can-do attitude.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of team both locally and globally.

Job Expectations:

Good knowledge about C++ programming and SDLC.
Detailed understanding and working experience on Avionics System\software and Certification.
Experience in the development of any or multiple Aircraft functions like Flight Management, Flight Controls, Platforms Systems/Software is required.
Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, perform integration/systems/functional testing, and conduct design reviews.
Ability to develop, validate and verify system level requirements for flight deck avionic programs.
Trouble shoot current systems interfaces and performance problems
Able to work with a diverse group of team members who could be geographically distributed.
Interfaces with stakeholders outside of their CoE, including Equipment Engineering Teams, Customer Engineering Leads (CEL), SPE, LSE, ASL, other engineering.
Good Understanding of Avionics architecture (Software and Systems).
Experience with Agile development processes.
Knowledge of AGILE tools. IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tool, Atlassian JIRA Change management tool.
Anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers.
Keep management apprised of program status and roadblocks.
Manage efforts based on priorities, availability, and commitments.
