Description
This is Sr Advanced Embedded Engineer position in PAS LOB under PMT-HPS for Safety Systems, Verification & Validation Team. Candidate should have at least 15 years experience. He / She should be Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering background. Candidate is required to have Strong Domain Knowledge on Functional Safety in Process Industry and its applications. He should have a strong understanding of IEC61508 and IEC61511. NFPA Standards. He/She should have knowledge on ESD, F&G, BMS Systems & High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS). He/She should preferably be TuV Certified for Functional Safety Engineer. The Candidate should have knowledge on the overall Engineering lifecycle of a Safety System. He /She should have a fair knowledge on HAZOP Analysis, Risk Assessment/Reduction, Functional Safety Assessment and/or Functional Safety Audit. Having Knowledge on Cyber Security and ISA Secure Standards is preferable. The Candidate should have experience in Project Engineering, Commissioning and Maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems such as Honeywell Safety Manager & SM SC, Honeywell FSC, HIMA, Triconex, Yokogawa Prosafe-RS, ABB Safety Systems. He/She should have had experience in FAT/SAT of Safety Systems. Candidate should have experience working in DCS and ESD systems. He should have hands on working experience in configuring the PLC, Safety, DCS systems in either commissioning or test environments. He should understand the process safety and control requirements. He/ She should have working knowledge on PLC ladder programming/FBD and other languages described in IEC61131-3 standard. He/ she should have sound knowledge of different communication protocols for third party interfaces and for field device integration. Candidate should also have experience working in Process Industrial Control preferably Honeywell Experion DCS, Honeywell TDC and SCADA solutions. He / She should have good working experience in test automation tools like Python, Selenium etc. Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as JIRA, Quality Center, Jama, ReqPro would be an advantage. Should have very good Logical reasoning and Analytical skills. Candidates who have Contributed towards Innovations, WIDs/Patents & Growth Ideas that were converted to NPIs will be preferred. Duties and Responsibilities He / She should be responsible for creating test plans, test procedures as per the product requirements and should ensure full coverage. He / She is responsible for test environments that almost replicates customer network environments. He /She will be responsible for the overall System level Test Coverage and reduction in Post Release defects to the Customer/End User. He/She will be responsible to exceed the Defect Removal Efficiency targets set by HPS. He / She will be responsible for On-time delivery of project/group objectives and influences project level productivity. He / She will be responsible for review of Architecture and design and can design test strategies to cover non-functional requirements in the program. Candidate will bring forward for product innovations, ideas, Proof of Concepts and product enhancements that add business value. He / She will also drive the culture of ensuring the test engineers in the team are using test environment that almost replicating customer sites and develop better customer scenarios for validation. Candidate will need to ensure test procedures are automated & simulations defined wherever applicable that should have in depth test coverage as well as reduce cycle time. Candidate will be responsible to develop/create new Automation techniques that will improve the Defect Removal Efficiency of the Product. Candidate will need to drive Productivity improvement and DOE techniques to take intelligent risks without compromising Quality. He/ She would be responsible for interacting with key Stakeholders such as Architects, Program Management, Development Leads and Test System Engineer. He/ She should be able to support/resolve queries from Project Engineering teams and TAC. He/ She should be able to drive improvements in Test methodologies inline with the best in class Standards. Skills Required: Candidate should have BE in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical with minimum of 15 years of experience having a strong Domain Knowledge on Functional Safety in Process Industry and its applications. Candidate will be responsible for System Test deliverables for Honeywell Safety Systems. He/she should have ability to interact effectively with Architects and other key stakeholder, do technical negotiations and drive decision making. Candidate will ensure to have System Test plans and procedures, system test bed almost equivalent to customer environment, prepare and review both manual and automation test strategies. He / She should have good working experience in test automation tools like Python, Selenium etc and should have executed themselves at least 3 projects working in Functional / System Test teams. Candidates who have Contributed towards Innovations, WIDs/Patents & Growth Ideas that were converted to NPIs will be preferred. Prepare and Perform program review through Metrices, share statuses and take mitigation actions. Exposure to Test and Requirement Management Tools such as Quality Center, Jama, ReqPro would be an advantage. Should have very good Logical reasoning and Analytical skills. Basic Qualifications Bachelors in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 15 years experience in the Industrial Process Control specifically in the areas of Industrial. Process Safety as in Emergency Shutdown, Fire & Gas and Burner Management Systems.
