Job Description

As a Senior Accountant at Gruve, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Your responsibilities will include: - **Financial Reporting and Accounting:** - Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements following U.S. GAAP standards. - Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. - Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts like fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions. - Assist in technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards (ASC updates). - **Audit And Compliance:** - Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing detailed explanations. - Maintain and improve internal control processes and documentation to meet audit and corporate standards. - Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings, financial audits, and management reporting. - **Analysis And Process Improvement:** - Analyze financial data and trends, identify variances, and prepare management reports for decision-making. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Operations, Tax, HR, etc.) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting. - Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting department. **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience with U.S. GAAP compliance. - Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks Enterprise. - Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** - CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or pursuing certification. - Experience in SaaS, technology, or multinational organizations. - Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
