Sr. Accountant General Ledger

Job Description: As a Grade III / Sr. Accountant with 3-5 years of experience based in Chennai, your primary responsibilities will include performing advanced reconciliations and preparing monthly deliverables for the Management group related to various financial reports. You will also be tasked with conducting ratio analysis, logical reasoning, and testing data in the General Ledger to ensure accuracy. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing monthly production site performance reports, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and submitting monthly financial reports to Hyperion / Essbase. It is crucial to complete all assigned tasks accurately and within the specified timeline, while updating the Work allocation matrix to measure performance and preparing monthly KPI metrics. In case of pending issues, you will escalate matters to the next level of Management and adhere to information security and control procedures. Knowledge and Skills Required: The ideal candidate should have work experience in the General Ledger area and possess excellent knowledge of double entry accounting. A good understanding of finance and accounting concepts is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office tools is required, and knowledge of Macro programming in Excel will be considered an added advantage. A collaborative team player attitude is also highly valued.
