Sr. Accountant General Ledger

Role Overview: As a Grade III / Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of experience based in Chennai, your primary responsibilities will involve performing advanced reconciliations, preparing monthly financial reports for the Management group, conducting ratio analysis, ensuring data accuracy in the General Ledger (GL), preparing performance reports for production sites, and submitting financial data to Hyperion / Essbase. Additionally, you will be required to complete all tasks accurately and within the committed time frame, update work allocation matrix for performance measurement, escalate pending issues to higher management, and adhere to information security and control procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Perform advanced reconciliations and monthly deliverables for financial reports - Conduct ratio analysis, logical reasoning, and test data in the GL - Prepare production site performance reports and Balance Sheet reconciliations - Submit monthly financial data to Hyperion / Essbase - Complete assigned tasks accurately and in a client-specific manner - Update Work allocation matrix for performance measurement and monthly KPI metrics - Escalate pending issues to higher management - Adhere to information security and control procedures Qualifications Required: - Work experience in the General Ledger (GL) area - Excellent knowledge of double entry accounting - Exposure to concepts in finance and accounting - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in MS Office, with knowledge of Macro programming in Excel being an added advantage - Team player attitude is essential Please feel free to email your resume to hr@metriqe.com, and one of our recruiters will reach out to you.,
