About the Role-

Senior SQL Developer

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

• Ensure high performance of database systems through

  query tuning, indexing, and optimization.

• Lead the design of

  database architecture, data models, and schema optimization.

• Build and maintain

  ETL pipelines,

  data integration workflows, and batch processes.
• Collaborate with application developers, BI teams, and product owners to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Manage database deployments, migrations, and version control.
• Ensure database security, backups, recovery processes, and compliance with standards.
• Provide solutions for large datasets, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Mentor, guide, and support junior SQL developers and data engineers.
• Lead code reviews and enforce SQL/database development best practices.
• Drive database-related initiatives, process improvements, and performance upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical advisor for database solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and architectural discussions.
• Take ownership of deliverables, timelines, and quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as an

  SQL Developer

  or Senior Database Developer.
• Expert-level proficiency in

  SQL Server

  (T-SQL).
• Strong experience with

  query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.

• Hands-on experience with

  ETL tools

  (SSIS preferred) and data integration processes.
• Deep understanding of

  data modeling, relational database design, and normalization.

• Experience with reporting tools (SSRS/Power BI) is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in

  leading or mentoring teams.

• Ability to take ownership and drive technical solutions end-to-end.

Good to Have

• Experience with NoSQL or distributed databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices for DB CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to big data tools or cloud-based analytics platforms.
