Key Responsibilities: Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases. Troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and database performance. Configure and manage SQL Server AlwaysOn and Windows Failover Clustering . Handle installations, migrations, upgrades across SQL Server 2022/2019/2016/2014 environments. Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal database design and performance. Ensure database security, integrity, backup, and recovery procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and best practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8 to 13 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration . Strong proficiency in T-SQL , query tuning, and indexing strategies. Expertise in SQL Server architecture , internals, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Windows Failover Clustering . MS SQL Server Administration certification . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Nice to Have: Master’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or other DBMS platforms. Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments. Exposure to SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS . Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python . Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence .
