Job Description

Datastage admin to provisioning user accounts, access, installing Datastage on Linux or Windows Servers. Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades: Install, configure, and upgrade IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS) and related products. Configure DataStage for various data sources, including plug-ins, connectors, and ODBC configurations. Manage and maintain the DataStage environment, including servers and infrastructure. User and Security Management: Create, manage, and delete DataStage projects. Assign roles and permissions to users within the DataStage environment. Manage user access and security, including creating users and groups. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of DataStage jobs and processes. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Implement performance tuning techniques. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve DataStage issues, including job failures, locks, and other problems. Work with IBM support to resolve complex issues. Skills Required Strong understanding of ETL concepts and processes. Experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS). Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell). Experience with SQL and databases. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Tools and Technologies: IBM InfoSphere DataStage (IIS). DataStage Director. DataStage Administrator client. Linux/Unix. Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell). Database tools and technologies.
