Job Summary:

SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain
MS SQL Server databases
.
Monitor database performance, implement tuning and optimization strategies.
Manage database security, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching of SQL databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime.
Write and optimize complex
SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
.
Work with development and application teams to support database-related requirements.
Basic administration and support for
MySQL
and
PostgreSQL
databases.
Ensure data integrity, high availability, and scalability of databases.
Maintain proper documentation of database configurations and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–4 years of proven experience as a SQL Server DBA.
Strong expertise in
MS SQL Server (2014/2016/2019 or later)
.
Experience with
database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
.
Hands-on experience in
backup and recovery strategies
.
Basic knowledge and working experience with
MySQL
and
PostgreSQL
.
Familiarity with
replication, clustering, and high availability solutions
.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Good to Have (Optional):

Experience with
cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.)
