Job Description

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the supplier quality improvement function, ensuring that all sourced components for ABS systems consistently meet or exceed quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role is pivotal in driving supplier development, reducing defects, and enhancing supply chain reliability to support high-performance and safe braking systems. To follow smooth development process at various suppliers following ADVIK QG-15 Gate management procedure

Role & responsibilities

For respective Commodity (Casting, Plastic, Machining, Steel Metal)

Drive APQP / New Part Development Process

  • Actively participate in new part development from Stage 1 (Phase 1) up to customer PPAP for parts developed at suppliers.
  • Monitor product performance during self-launch period of parts.

Quality Standards and Compliance:

  • Establish and enforce quality standards, specifications, and requirements.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Supplier Process Improvements:

  • Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure Implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance overall efficiency.

Quality Assurance Programs:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to monitor and control manufacturing processes at suppliers end.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to communicate quality requirements and resolve issues between Advik and suppliers related to Quality
  • Ensure alignment between supplier quality goals and overall organizational objectives.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of new process developments of parts from supplier

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and best practices.
  • Provide training to subordinates for quality improvements

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure that the quality components meet or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Address customer complaints related to supplier quality and lead efforts to implement corrective actions.

Special Process (CQI) for New Part Development

  • Actively participate in special process development & approval of special processes

Budget Prepare and Monitor

  • Manpower Budget for SQIG Dept.

Travelling Budget for SQIG Dept

Electronic Components

Sensors (wheel speed sensors, yaw rate sensors)

Microcontrollers and ECUs

PCBs and connectors

Passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors)

Mechanical Components

Hydraulic valves and actuators

Brake modulators and pumps

Castings and machined parts (aluminum, steel)

Fasteners and brackets

Plastic and Rubber Components

Housings and enclosures

Seals, grommets, and vibration dampers

Software-Embedded Systems

Experience with suppliers providing embedded software for ABS control logic
