About the Opportunity This position is ideal for a mid-to-senior level SQA Engineer to join the System Integration Team at Align Technology . In this role, you will design, develop, and implement test plans and strategies to verify complex system requirements and solution designs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical, Technology, Enterprise, Product Owners, Software Engineers, Application QA, and Business Analyststo validate end-to-end systems integration , ensure data integrity , and identify root causes of system behavior. Your contributions will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of Align's product workflows , from conception through delivery at scale. Role Expectations Core Responsibilities Analyze and understand requirements and solution design documents (SOR, SRS). Design, develop, and execute detailed end-to-end test cases to validate workflows and data flows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct ambiguity reviews , identify design gaps , and assess risks for roadmap project deliveries. Actively support Business User Previews and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) . Participate in Agile feature-based delivery cycles to assess impacts on integration testing. Act as an internal SME and guide other team members on Align's product ecosystem . Partner with SDETs to enable automation of manual test cases and propose test automation use cases. Continuously improve the System Integration Functional Test process . Work with system logs, APIs , and databases to validate backend data and system behavior. Analyze defects, debug test failures, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Represent QA in project-level discussions , contributing to the product definition and test coverage planning. Assist in understanding and replicating customer-reported issues . Use test management tools to manage test assets and defect tracking. What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Engineering , or a related technical field. Experience 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance , ideally with a focus on System Integration testing. Hands-on experience designing test plans, scenarios, and reports for complex enterprise systems (e.g., SAP , Salesforce ). Proficiency with ALM tools for test management and defect tracking. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments . Demonstrated ability to read and derive test cases from technical documentation (SOR/SRS). Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines. Basic programming knowledge and test automation understanding. Proficient in working with databases , API testing , web services , and system logs . Exposure to automation tools and frameworks is preferred. Nice to Have Knowledge of enterprise system integration scenarios involving tools like SAP, Salesforce, or other large-scale platforms. Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting for E2E regression. Experience supporting testing across multiple geographies or distributed teams.
