SQA Engineer

Engineer / Sr. Engineer Supplier Quality Assurance

1. Be responsible for assessing quality of supplier processes & implementation (existing and new suppliers).
2. Responsible to address supplier quality issues and resolve through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
3. Responsible to closely communicate with cross functional teams like R&D , Procurement & manufacturing Department.
4. Work closely with suppliers and conduct supplier audits (ISO, process, Product, system)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits and assessment qualification processes.
• Responsible for PPAP, PFMEA & PSW review and sign off for mass production run at supplier facility.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues using root cause analysis (e.g :8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)
• Support incoming inspection and resolve non-conformance issues with suppliers.
• Knowledge about industry standards and internal specifications (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, ISO 450001, IATF 16949, etc.)
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the quality reporting meetings of the supplier's senior management if necessary.
• Support new product launches through APQP approach.

• R&D:

  For all new raw material development

• Procurements

  : Sharing data for the rejections

• IQC:

  Ensure the receipt parts are in good condition

• Suppliers

  : Overseas/Local vendors
• Testing Agencies / Equipment vendors

Desired Skills:

Functional

• Hands on experience in PPAP audits
• Ability to review PPAP documents
• Certified internal auditor
• Six sigma Green belt holder
• Familiar in APQP process & new supplier on boarding
• Overseas supplier handling

Behavioral

• Excellent interpersonal communication, logical analysis & decision-making.
• Excellent resource coordination, planning, process control capabilities

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical) is preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Automotive / Chemical / Electronics Industry

• Chinese & English language – Mandatory
• Kanada, Hindi & Tamil - Optional
