Role: Spotfire Administrator Location: Pune/Nagpur/MH Job type: Full Time Job Looking for someone who can join within 2 to 3 weeks Working hours US EST - 6:30 pm to 3:30 am IST Job Description: More about role: A Spotfire administrator is responsible for managing the overall Spotfire environment, including user access, data connections, server configuration, security settings, and ensuring the smooth operation of Spotfire applications, primarily by managing user permissions, setting up data sources, and maintaining the overall health of the Spotfire server, allowing users to effectively analyze and visualize data within the platform. Key responsibilities of a Spotfire administrator include: User management: Creating and managing user accounts Assigning appropriate roles and permissions to users based on their needs Deactivating user accounts as required Data source management: Setting up and configuring data connections to various data sources (databases, flat files, APIs) Managing data refreshes and schedules Ensuring data quality and integrity Server administration: Monitoring server performance and resource utilization Managing server upgrades and patching Troubleshooting server issues Security management: Implementing security policies to protect sensitive data Managing access controls and data encryption Application management: Deploying and updating Spotfire applications Managing application configurations and settings Monitoring and reporting: Tracking user activity and usage patterns Generating reports on Spotfire usage and performance Collaboration with stakeholders: Working with business users to understand their data analysis needs Providing training and support to users on Spotfire functionalities Important considerations for a Spotfire administrator: Technical skills: Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing concepts, and data visualization techniques.
