Sports Teacher

The Sports Teacher is responsible for developing students’ physical abilities, fitness, and sportsmanship. The role involves planning, organizing, and delivering structured sports and physical education programs while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deliver engaging sports and physical education lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Teach and coach a variety of sports (indoor and outdoor) suitable for different age groups.
• Promote the importance of health, fitness, and well-being among students.
• Organize inter-house, inter-school, and intra-school sports competitions and events.
• Identify and nurture talented students for school sports teams and guide them in professional competitions.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and inclusivity during physical education classes and sports activities.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
• Encourage values of teamwork, respect, leadership, and fair play.
• Collaborate with academic and co-curricular staff for holistic student development.
• Maintain records of student performance, participation, and achievements in sports.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness techniques, and physical training methods.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience (preferably in a school setting).
• Excellent communication, motivational, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students of varying age groups and skill levels.
• Certification in first aid or sports coaching (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
