Job Description

Join and connect fiber optic cables using splicing machines. Use tools like OTDR to find and fix problems in fiber lines. Test fiber networks (especially PON links) using OTDR and Power Meters. Work with fiber splitters (1:4, 1:8, 1:16, 1:32) and manage how fibers are connected. Keep track of fiber routes and handle repairs or switching over to new connections when needed.
