ob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fiber Optic Splicer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables to ensure high-performance data transmission in telecom networks. Key Responsibilities: Perform fiber optic splicing, including fusion splicing and mechanical splicing. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks and related equipment. Conduct tests using OTDR, power meter, light source, and other testing tools. Read and interpret fiber schematics, diagrams, and construction blueprints. Perform aerial and underground fiber installations and terminations. Ensure all splicing activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of splicing work, test results, and service reports. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams on project planning and execution. Requirements: High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in fiber optics preferred. Minimum [1–3] years of experience as a fiber splicer or telecom technician. Proficient with fusion splicing machines, OTDRs, fiber identifiers, and other test equipment. Strong understanding of fiber optic theory and cable construction. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in various conditions. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Preferred Qualifications: FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent. Knowledge of ISP/OSP standards and practices. Experience with GIS mapping tools or software. Work Conditions: May require travel to field sites and work during nights or weekends depending on project needs. Frequent use of hand tools and climbing equipment. Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical labor. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹10,913.25 - ₹25,560.43 per month Schedule: Day shift Morning shift Work Location: In person
