Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicer to join our telecom deployment team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in splicing, testing, and troubleshooting optical fiber networks. Key Responsibilities · Perform fiber splicing on live and new cable networks (FTTH/FTTx/Backbone). · Handle OTDR, Power Meter, and Splicing Machines efficiently. · Interpret fiber network plans, routes, and schematics. · Execute fiber testing, fault finding, and rectification. · Coordinate with field teams for network activation and maintenance. · Ensure proper documentation of splicing records and daily reports. · Maintain safety protocols and quality standards at all job sites. Required Skills · Strong knowledge of optical fiber types, color codes, and standards. · Proficient with fusion splicing machines and fiber test tools (OTDR, VFL). · Ability to work in field conditions and travel to deployment areas. · Basic understanding of telecom infrastructure and routes. · Good physical stamina for outdoor tasks.
