Job Description

The R2R Service Delivery at VSS would support all general accounting processes (Record to Report) throughout Vodafone Idea circles in India. These processes span across SAP workflows and non-workflow processes and would involve interactions with the Vodafone Idea finance teams.

A R2R Accounting Specialist would be responsible for the delivery of the following functions:

Expense Provisioning and General Accounting

Financial Records processing

Document Management

Reporting

Stakeholder Management

Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare various Month End Provisions within agreed timelines and its variance analysis
  • Complete activities related to General accounting like GL Analysis and other related activities

Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents processed as per manual journal policy

  • Ensure on-time closing of books of accounts as per MEC calendar
  • Ensure timely HFM reporting requirement
  • Preparation of various schedules as per audit requirement

Preparation & analyzing of Various MIS reports like IFRS-IGAAP Reconciliation statement, SOX templates etc

Maintain documents relating to SOX compliance and internal controls

  • Ensure smooth closure of statutory audit with timely closure of all open audit
  • Understanding of balance sheet reconciliation Ensure compliance with accounting policy
  • Display good team players skills by involving self in extracurricular activities in the VISSL
  • Responsible for own learning and development with guidance from team leader/manager
  • Process general ledger documents for month end within agreed timelines
  • Ensure a Customer centric and partnership approach to develop strong relationships with other working groups
  • Implementation of standard approach across company codes.

Core competencies, knowledge and experienced required :-

1 3 years relevant experience

  • Understanding of General accounting
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of works Desired
  • Knowledge of financial reporting close process

Knowledge of SAP ERP system

Knowledge of Local GAAP, IFRS

  • Experience in a SSC/BPO/KPO
  • Fluency in English (both written & oral)
  • Basic knowledge of MS Access / Altryx/AI
  • Essential: B.COM, M.COM Desired: Inter CA / CA
