Specialist - Process Engineering ( Automation )

Job Description

Key Qualifications: Process & Engineering Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in process engineering, including proficiency in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans (CP). MFTGB Proficiency: In-depth understanding of Machines, Fixtures, Tools, Gauges, and Bins (MFTGB) essential for production. Product Line Leadership: Proven experience in establishing and managing product lines, with a focus on Poka-Yoke (mistake proofing) and maintaining a low Parts Per Million (PPM) defect rate. Material Flow Optimization: Hands-on experience in optimizing material flow within a production environment. Automation & Semi-Automation: Strong understanding of automation and semi-automation fundamentals. Innovative Problem Solving: Ability to lead a team in designing gauges and fixtures that meet Poka-Yoke requirements, while fostering creativity and collaboration. Collaborative Design Input: Work closely with design and cross-functional teams to provide critical insights related to part and assembly requirements. Design for Assembly (DFA) Expertise: Excellent command of DFA principles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective assembly processes. Value Stream Mapping: Skilled in value stream mapping with a focus on plant and production efficiency. Quality-Driven: A strong commitment to quality, with an organized approach to program management for Product Engineering Design (PED) work. Global Collaboration: Experience in localizing assembly lines, including working with vendors in China, and willingness to travel to China multiple times a year. Continuous Improvement: Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives on production and assembly lines. Vendor Management: Ability to identify and collaborate with vendors on machine, fixture, and other production-related projects. Mechatronics & Testing: Solid understanding of mechatronics and testing processes in assembly lines. Zero-Based Costing (ZBC): Knowledgeable in ZBC for accurate costing and financial analysis.
