Specialist IS Architect

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Strategy:

    Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision and strategy for

    Workday

    and

    Eightfold

    , ensuring alignment with business objectives. Create and maintain architectural roadmaps that guide the evolution of IT systems.
  • Governance & Evaluation:

    Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and governance frameworks. Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the architecture.
  • Risk & Scalability:

    Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring that IT systems are scalable, secure, and resilient.
  • Documentation & Improvement:

    Maintain comprehensive documentation of the architecture. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Requirements:

    Work closely with partners to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions meet both business and technical needs.
  • Solution Design:

    Evaluate and recommend technologies that best fit the solution requirements for

    Human Capital Management (HCM)

    processes. Design systems that can scale to meet growing business needs and performance demands.
  • Data Management:

    Develop and maintain logical, physical, and conceptual data models. Design and manage metadata structures to enhance information retrieval and usability.

Qualifications

  • A Doctorate degree, or a Master's degree with relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with extensive experience, or a Diploma with a substantial background in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of

    enterprise architecture frameworks

    and methodologies.
  • Experience directing solution design, business process redesign, and aligning business requirements to technical solutions in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working in an

    Agile methodology

    , including Product Teams and Product Development models.
  • Certifications in

    Workday HCM, T&A, Recruiting, or Integrations

    are highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of API security best practices.

    Strong architectural design and modeling skills, with the ability to consider factors like performance, scalability, and security.
