Specialist Illumination & Dimming

As a Specialist Illumination & Dimming at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL), you will play a crucial role in supporting the design simulation and concept freeze with suppliers for the illumination of control units. Your responsibilities will include reviewing supplier concepts for illumination requirements and specifications, conducting component illumination checks, setting up LAB, coordinating with Product owner & Skoda MB for illumination requirements, supporting concept preparation & finalization, conducting component testing for illumination, and exploring new technologies and methodologies for testing components. Your authority will involve setting up the illumination LAB, coordinating with suppliers & Skoda MB for illumination checking methods, and controlling the checking of illumination in parts. To excel in this role, you should have knowledge of Vehicle Electrical and Electronics sub systems & Components, expertise in illumination checking equipment, knowledge of testing lab equipment, coordination and negotiation skills with development suppliers, project management skills, and good administrative skills such as planning and developing a structure. Key Responsibilities & Tasks: - Prepare a strategy for the localization of components for the IMP/MQB platform - Decide on the possibility and priority of components that can be localized in alignment with project standards and alignment with Purchase - Support feasibility studies & concept preparation - Study SAVWIPL standards for design releases - Support final data review with suppliers and system releases - Support suppliers to understand the requirements and component owners for concerns in testing - Track timely releases of components for car built - Support VAVE/PKO ideas - Continuously seek, identify, and coordinate new Indian technologies/development opportunities based on competitor/market trends, customer requirements, supplier inputs, and manufacturing requirements - Ensure project targets and milestones (time, cost, and quality) - Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements such as Specifications (LAH), regulatory, homologation, and identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Support regular development team meetings, facilitate discussions team-wise, interdepartmental, with development consultants and suppliers and Skoda MB to arrive at the best solutions for product and company - Support the relevant team, based on PEP guidelines, and ensure that the respective milestones (technical and budgetary) are completed within the stipulated time period and with the desired results At Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL), we uphold equal opportunity and mutual respect.
