Specialist Illumination & Dimming

As a Specialist Illumination & Dimming at koda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) located in Pune, Chakan, you will be an integral part of the Research and Development department. With a minimum of 7-8 years of experience and a qualification of B.E/B. Tech/Post Graduate in Electrical & Electronics, you will embark on a fulfilling journey with a leading European car maker in India. Your role will involve supporting in design simulation and concept freeze with suppliers for the illumination of control units, reviewing supplier concepts for illumination requirements and specifications, and coordinating with Product owner & Skoda MB for illumination needs. You will also be responsible for component illumination check & LAB setup, supporting concept preparation & finalization, component testing for illumination, and exploring new technologies and methodologies for testing components. You will have the authority to set up Illumination LAB, coordinate with suppliers & Skoda MB for illumination checking methods, and control the checking of illumination in parts. Skills required for this role include knowledge of Vehicle Electrical and Electronics sub-systems & components, expertise in illumination checking equipment, knowledge of testing lab equipment, coordination and negotiation with development suppliers, project management, and good administrative skills for planning and developing a structure. Key responsibilities and tasks will include preparing a strategy for localization of components for the IMP/MQB platform, supporting feasibility studies & concept preparation, studying SAVWIPL standards for design releases, supporting final data review with suppliers and system releases, tracking timely releases of components for car builds, and supporting VAVE/PKO ideas. You will also be responsible for seeking, identifying, and coordinating new Indian technologies/development opportunities, ensuring project targets and milestones are met, and supporting regular development team meetings to arrive at the best solutions for the product and company.
