Job Description

As a Specialist Finance (Order to Cash - OTC Collections) at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) GSC in Chennai, you will be a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a passion for logistics. Join our high-performing Global Shared Services Team, recognized as a Great Place to Work certified organization and one of the Top 20 most admired Shared Services Organizations in 2022 by the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON). **Key Responsibilities:** - Initiate contact with customers to address overdue accounts using various communication methods. - Respond to customer inquiries regarding outstanding debts and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies. - Conduct credit limit reviews to prevent overtrading and inform customers when nearing their credit limits. - Escalate unresolved accounts and recommend credit holds for delinquent accounts. - Deliver high service quality through timely and accurate completion of services. - Collaborate with colleagues to identify solutions, best practices, and opportunities for improvement. - Flag operational challenges to the immediate supervisor and business partner. - Co-ordinate with stakeholders for regular communication and flow of information. - Contribute as a subject matter expert in problem-solving and process improvement. - Assist staff in resolving complex issues, maintain process documentation, and ensure quality control. **Skills and Abilities:** - Proficiency in using MA!N or other industry-standard collections tools suitable for B2C contexts. - Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with operational systems such as S21, CW1, and DDH for data management and analysis. - Excellent business communication and presentation capabilities. **Educational and Experience Requirements:** - Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or Business Administration with a finance focus. - Minimum 50% aggregate scores in academic pursuits. - 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Order to Cash process. - Proficient understanding of accounting and financial principles, specifically for Order to Cash. - Experience with financial software and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. - Familiarity with logistics industry and shared services operations is preferred. - Work experience in logistics or shared services operations is a plus.
