We are seeking a creative and organized Designer - Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team while contributing design expertise to commercial real estate projects. This hybrid role combines design skills with project coordination responsibilities, making it ideal for a design professional looking to expand into project management within the CRE industry.

Key Responsibilities Design Functions

Create and develop design concepts, space plans, and visual presentations for CRE projects
Produce technical drawings, renderings, and design documentation
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on design specifications
Ensure design compliance with building codes, zoning requirements, and client standards
Support tenant improvement and space planning initiatives
Maintain design standards and brand consistency across projects

Project Management Support

Assist Project Managers in planning, organizing, and tracking project deliverables
Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and milestone tracking
Support client communications and meeting coordination
Maintain project documentation, drawings, and filing systems
Monitor project budgets and track design-related expenses
Facilitate communication between design teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Prepare progress reports and project status updates

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field
2-4 years of experience in design and/or project coordination
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit preferred)
Strong understanding of construction processes and building systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in commercial real estate or corporate environments
Knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.)
Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable design practices
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or willingness to pursue
Experience with space planning and workplace design
