Job Description

As a Specialist AMER Hotel Support at IHG Hotels & Resorts, you will play a crucial role in providing support to owners and hotels, ensuring a smooth and seamless opening and operational experience. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Providing prompt and professional support to hotel owners and operators via multiple channels such as phone and email. - Identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting a wide range of procurement-related issues, including purchasing, product availability, invoices, and deliveries. - Escalating complex issues to the appropriate team or department for resolution. - Maintaining accurate records of all interactions and issue resolutions. - Developing and maintaining a knowledge base of procurement processes and procedures. - Proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks to hotel openings and operations. - Analyzing feedback from hotel owners and operators to continuously improve the help desk service. - Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in hotel procurement. - Collaborating with other members of the Global Procurement team to ensure efficient resolution of issues. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field. - 2+ years of experience in a customer service or help desk role. - Strong understanding of procurement principles and processes, preferably in the hospitality industry. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. - Ability to empathize with the needs and concerns of hotel owners and operators. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service. - Passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to its success.
