Special Education Teacher

As a Special Educator at our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities and learning challenges. Your responsibilities will include: - Assessing students" abilities and developing appropriate teaching strategies. - Designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on individual student assessments. - Adapting curriculum materials to suit students" learning needs and styles. - Delivering direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills. - Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records. - Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff. - Providing guidance and support to parents regarding their child's educational journey. - Fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. - Using assistive technology and other tools to support instruction. - Attending professional development sessions, team meetings, and IEP reviews. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification with specialization in Special Education. - Experience working with children with disabilities or learning difficulties. - Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners. Additionally, preferred skills for this position include: - Knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques. - Experience with inclusive education practices. - Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive tools. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
