Role Overview: As a Special Educator, your role will involve providing tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities and learning challenges. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that foster student success and inclusion. Key Responsibilities: - Assess students' abilities and develop appropriate teaching strategies. - Design and implement IEPs based on individual student assessments. - Adapt curriculum materials to cater to students' learning needs and styles. - Deliver direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills. - Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records. - Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff. - Provide guidance and support to parents regarding their child's educational journey. - Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. - Utilize assistive technology and other tools to support instruction. - Attend professional development sessions, team meetings, and IEP reviews. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification specializing in Special Education. - Previous experience working with children with disabilities or learning difficulties. - Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrate patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners.
