Special Education Teacher

Role Overview: The Gurukulam School, located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is dedicated to providing holistic child development and inclusive education. As a special educator at The Gurukulam School, you will play a crucial role in identifying and supporting students with special learning needs or developmental challenges. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with class teachers for inclusive classroom practices, providing interventions, maintaining communication with parents, and organizing awareness programs for teachers on inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and assess students with special learning needs or developmental challenges. - Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. - Work collaboratively with class teachers to ensure inclusive classroom practices. - Provide one-on-one or small group interventions and remedial sessions. - Maintain regular communication with parents to discuss progress and strategies. - Keep detailed records of students" development and share progress reports periodically. - Organize awareness programs and training for teachers on inclusive education. - Stay updated with current special education practices, policies, and teaching methodologies. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. - Certification in Special Education. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience working with students with special needs. - Knowledge of current special education practices and policies.
