Spanish Language Executive

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Spanish, Language Education, or a related field.
• Strong passion for language teaching with basic knowledge of the IB approach to language acquisition.

Prior experience in language teaching is desirable but not mandatory, as training and development will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons focused on developing communication skills, cultural awareness, and linguistic competence aligned with the school’s language acquisition philosophy.
• Facilitate experiential learning by integrating global contexts, ATL skills, and inquiry-based practices into language acquisition activities.
• Apply varied, differentiated instructional methods to accommodate diverse learner needs, including beginners.

Curriculum Development

• Collaborate in developing a structured Spanish language curriculum tailored for entry-level and continuing language learners, with clear progression toward proficiency.
• Contribute to creating language resources, projects, and activities that promote authentic communication and cultural understanding.

Student Support & Engagement

• Support students in language acquisition through club activities, intercultural exchanges, and language-focused service projects.
• Actively encourage curiosity, global mindedness, and linguistic competence in line with IB Learner Profile attributes.

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in professional development opportunities related to language teaching methodology, intercultural competence, and IB philosophy.
• Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate constructively with parents and colleagues.
• Support the school’s language program mission by promoting multilingualism, intercultural respect, and global awareness.
