Job Description

As a Sourcing and Costing Specialist in Electrical and Electronic components with 7-15 years of experience, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Specialize in Zero Based Costing for Automotive Lighting, Display & Infotainment Parts, PCBA, Bare PCB, HV/LV harness, Motor, and Electrical Vehicle Parts. - Estimate the cost of Electrical and Electronics parts based on specifications provided. - Generate cost optimization ideas by referencing the market and competitive parts. - Utilize costing software like TcPCM for accurate calculations. - Structure pricing, estimate Bill of Materials (BOM), and establish strong relationships with suppliers. - Develop sourcing strategies to meet customer requirements effectively. - Ensure supplier quality meets the required standards for new product launches. - Implement various cost calculation techniques such as Zero-base costing, activity-based costing, and directional costing to estimate and budget component prices. - Possess knowledge of import and export incoterms for efficient logistics handling. - Calculate and analyze landed costs for different global zones. - Monitor parts and materials readiness to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. - Coordinate logistics and dispatch of parts for timely delivery to manufacturing units or job sites. - Manage and resolve any issues related to part readiness or dispatch promptly to prevent delays in the production process. Your educational qualifications should include a B.E. / B. Tech degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Automotive engineering.
