As a Sourcing and Costing Engineer specializing in Electrical Components, you will be responsible for effectively managing the cost estimation and sourcing strategies for various automotive parts. With 5-12 years of experience, your role will be crucial in ensuring cost optimization and efficient sourcing practices in Saudi Arabia. Your educational background should include a B.E. / B. Tech degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Automotive engineering. Your skills should encompass a deep understanding of Zero Based Costing specifically for Automotive Lighting, Display & Infotainment Parts, PCBA, Bare PCB, HV/LV harness, Motor, and Electrical Vehicle Parts. Utilizing your expertise, you will be required to generate cost estimations for Electrical and Electronics components based on specifications, market references, and competitive parts. Proficiency in costing software like TcPCM will be essential for analyzing pricing structures, conducting BOM estimations, and establishing strong supplier relationships. Your role will also involve developing sourcing strategies to meet customer requirements, implementing various cost calculation techniques, and ensuring compliance with import & export incoterms. By calculating and analyzing landed costs across global zones, you will contribute to the overall cost-effectiveness of the production process. In addition, you will play a crucial role in monitoring part readiness, coordinating logistics and dispatch, and managing any issues related to delays or quality standards. Regular performance reviews with suppliers, evaluation of supplier performance metrics, and identification of areas for improvement in manufacturing processes will be key responsibilities. Your ability to challenge proposed costs for technical changes and negotiate improvements in the total value chain will be essential in enhancing cost-effectiveness. Your analytical skills will be put to use in evaluating supplier proposals and ensuring cost-efficiency in all aspects of sourcing and costing processes.,
