Sound Engineer

Role Overview: As a Sound/Audio Engineer at Deluxe Entertainment, you will be responsible for performing audio editing, frame rate conversions, and audio conforms on stereo/5.1 audio files to ensure perfect sync. You should have a good understanding of various video frame rates and be proficient in using audio interfaces, audio monitoring equipment, and digital audio workstations to produce high-quality audio files. Your keen judgment skills will be crucial in identifying audio anomalies and either fixing them in-house or reporting them to the client promptly. It will be your responsibility to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, update work trackers daily, and maintain audio equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Key Responsibilities: - Perform audio editing, frame rate conversions, and audio conforms on stereo/5.1 audio files - Utilize audio interfaces, audio monitoring equipment, and digital audio workstations effectively - Identify and address audio anomalies with good judgment - Complete tasks on time and update work trackers daily - Maintain audio equipment to ensure functionality - Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking - Work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals - Multitask efficiently and stay focused under pressure - Be open to working in all shifts Qualifications Required: - B.Sc. degree in computer science, electronics, or A/V technology related field, or Diploma in Audio Engineering - Minimum 1 year of experience in sound engineering - Excellent working knowledge of Avid or Digi Design Protools HD - Strong technical understanding of digital audio, sample rates, bit rates, audio speed, digital audio sync, SMPTE time code, video sync, and video codecs - Experience with common audio configurations including 7.1, 5.1, 2.0, and Mono - Proficient operational skills in Apple OS X Operation System - Good communication skills in English - Ability to work effectively under pressure and in different shifts Application Question(s): - Do you have Pro Tools knowledge Job Type: Freelance Contract Length: 6 months (Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.),
