As a Director, Data Engineering Manager at S&P Global Ratings, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative software solutions for the cloud-based analytics platform. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. - Proficiency in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile and Test-driven development. - 15+ years of experience with 8+ years designing enterprise products, modern data stacks, and analytics platforms. - 8+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture & designs, software/enterprise integration design patterns, and full-stack knowledge including modern distributed front end and back-end technology stacks. - Experience in full stack development with modern web development technologies, Java/J2EE, UI frameworks like Angular and React, data lake systems like Databricks, AWS cloud technologies, PySpark, SQL, Oracle, NoSQL Databases like MongoDB. - Thorough understanding of distributed computing and system architecture. - Experience designing transactional/data warehouse/data lake and data integrations with big data eco-system leveraging AWS cloud technologies. - Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. - Strong ability to influence both IT and business partners. - Superior knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns. - Quality-first mindset with experience in developing products for a global audience at scale. - Good work ethic, self-starter, and results-oriented.
