Solutions Architect - Co-founder

Strategic & Founding-

Partner with founders on the technical roadmap, product strategy, and fundraising/investor conversations.

Make build vs buy decisions; prioritize technical trade-offs balancing speed to market with long-term scalability.

Own hiring, mentoring, and growing the engineering team; set technical hiring bar and coding/architecture culture.

Participate in client calls and pitches to present architectures and technical feasibility.

Architecture & Engineering (Hands-on)-

Architectural design: Design scalable, resilient, secure solutions across web, mobile, and cloud.

Cloud & Server less: Design and implement robust solutions using AWS serverless technologies Lambda, EventBridge, container services (ECS), and infra services (S3, EFS, SQS, CloudFormation). Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Backend & APIs-

Must-have:

Strong experience in Laravel (8.x/9.x) and Lumen for building REST APIs, middleware, and authentication.

Experience building backend services and APIs with Node.js (REST/GraphQL, microservices).

Frontend: Build modern SPAs with React.js (hooks, context/Redux or other state management). Expertise in SPA architecture, responsive design, and web accessibility.

Mobile (bonus): Cross-platform apps with Flutter.

Databases: MySQL expertise schema design, indexing, migrations, and query optimization; experience with NoSQL where applicable.

DevOps & Testing: Git workflows, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

Testing frameworks: PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress (v5+) or equivalent.

Security: Embed secure coding, auth/authorization, secrets management, and runtime hardening.

Monitoring & Ops: Observability, logging, and cost optimization best practices.

Technical leadership: Drive code architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and architectural reviews; identify & mitigate risks.

Client & stakeholder engagement: Gather requirements, present architectures, and iterate on solutions with client/stakeholder feedback.

Continuous improvement: Keep the stack modern evaluate new frameworks, tools, and services and evolve processes.

Must-Have (quick checklist)-

Frontend: 3+ years React.js (hooks, context/Redux or other state mgmt.), SPA architecture, responsive design, web accessibility.

Backend: 3+ years Laravel (8.x/9.x) & Lumen REST API design, middleware, authentication. (Node.js experience is also welcomed but Laravel/Lumen is a must.)

Database: MySQL expertise indexing, query optimization, migrations.

DevOps & Testing: Git workflows, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). Testing: PHPUnit, Jest, Cypress (v5+).

Cloud: Strong AWS serverless experience (Lambda, EventBridge, ECS, S3, SQS, CloudFormation) and IaC.

Experience: 3+ years in a Solution Architect / Lead Engineer / Technical Leadership role.

Soft skills: Strong communication, leadership, entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications-

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Entrepreneurial mindset ownership, bias for action, comfortable with ambiguity and building zero-to-one.

Nice-to-have-

Flutter (cross-platform mobile).

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional).

Prior founder or early-stage startup experience.

Familiarity with observability tools and cost optimization.

Equity & Compensation Considerations

Equity Stake: Co-founder-level equity on offer, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff.

Cash Compensation: Decent salary aligned to early-stage budget (details negotiable based on experience and stage).
