Role Overview: Siemens Energy is looking for individuals who are seeking a challenging role to make a difference in the transition to a more sustainable world. As part of the team, you will be involved in expanding renewables, transforming conventional power, strengthening electrical grids, driving industrial decarbonization, and securing the supply chain and necessary minerals. You will play a crucial role in offering products, solutions, and services across the entire energy value chain. Key Responsibilities: - Review contracts and seek clarifications - Develop engineering concepts and schemes, seeking approval from customers - Preparation of IO database from customer documents - Prepare engineering drawings and documents, guide and monitor junior colleagues, ensure correctness of documentation in line with guidelines and customer requirements - Ensure all engineering processes are followed and deliver good quality engineering output - Interface with customers, consultants, and internal departments for technical discussions and approvals, report progress, risks, and key issues to superiors to meet project engineering schedules and milestones - Prepare system integration procedures, obtain approvals, supervise and conduct system integration tests/FAT, review results to ensure the delivered system meets project specifications - Provide technical support during techno-commercial negotiations and offer preparation to achieve cost-effective solutions and timely project execution - Conduct training for clients and in-house engineers to maintain the system properly, reduce engineering and commissioning time, and instill customer confidence in the system - Standardize Engineering and Commissioning processes to reduce cycles, minimize non-conformance costs, and achieve process maturity - Travel to engineering and commissioning sites in India and abroad Qualifications Required: - Education: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics/ENTC and allied branches - 3-10 years of experience in engineering and commissioning of automation systems - Power plant knowledge required, Steam Turbine auxiliary and Governor control knowledge required - Advanced training certificates in Siemen DCS/PLC/SCADA/Instrumentation or similar from other automation vendors preferred - SCADA Systems: Simatic S7, TIA & WinCC engineering, testing, and commissioning expertise preferred - Engineering tools knowledge: T3000, PCS7 Plant Automation Accelerator, COMOS preferred - Knowledge of communication protocols like MODBUS, Profibus, Profinet, HART, Ethernet, OPC etc. - OSI PI Historian knowledge & experience preferred - Knowledge of safety systems (Fail-safe systems) - Excellent English language skills, knowledge of foreign languages like German, Spanish, French advantageous - Good interpersonal skills and ability to integrate well into international project teams Additional Details: The role is based in Mumbai and offers the opportunity to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries, and shaping the future.
