Solution Architecture/ Data Architecture

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Target Architecture (Fabric-native):

Design the Lakehouse/Medallion model on OneLake; choose stores (Warehouse/Lakehouse/SQL DB) for operational MDM, golden-record hub, and downstream serving; define integration via Data Pipelines/Dataflows Gen2/Notebooks and API endpoints.

• Migration & Coexistence Strategy:

  Define the Strangler-Fig approach from Informatica MDM/IDQ; map hub/store semantics, staging, delta/CDC patterns, and parity for match, merge, trust/survivorship, and hierarchies; plan blue/green or phased domain rollouts.

• Entity Resolution & Data Quality:

  Architect fuzzy-matching, blocking, and scoring using Spark/SQL/ML (e.g., Jaro-Winkler, phonetics, TF-IDF, Splink-style probabilistic models); codify business rules, standardization, and validations; design steward-review queues.

• Performance, Reliability & Observability

  : Establish SLAs/SLOs, throughput/latency goals, and capacity sizing; set up monitoring, logging, and data quality scorecards (Fabric monitoring hub, Log Analytics); tune pipelines and SQL/Spark jobs.

• Integration & Interoperability:

  Orchestrate inbound/outbound with Salesforce, JD Edwards/ERP, and downstream analytics via Fabric items, Eventstreams/queues (as applicable), and Azure API Management/REST; enable near-real-time and batch patterns.

• DataOps & CI/CD:

  Set up Git-enabled Fabric workspaces, environment promotion, automated tests (unit/data reconciliation), and release pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; define rollback/runbooks.

• Stakeholder Leadership:

  Partner with business data owners, stewards, and domain teams; run architecture reviews, risk logs, and executive updates; produce decision records and cost/performance trade-off analyses.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• 812 years in data/analytics platforms with 4+ years architecting MDM or Customer/Party/Account master solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Informatica MDM/IDQ concepts (base objects, match/merge, trust/survivorship, hierarchies, IDD workflows) and proven migrations/re-implementations.
• Expert in Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks (Spark/PySpark), Power BI, workspace governance, and Git-integrated CI/CD.
• Practical experience designing entity-resolution pipelines: standardization, blocking, similarity scoring, and rules/ML hybrids; comfortable with SQL/Spark and libraries for probabilistic matching.
• Hands-on with CDC patterns (e.g., Change Tracking/Log-based), SCD types, schema evolution, and large-scale backfills.
• Strong DataOps mindset: automated testing for data and logic, deployment pipelines, environment promotion, observability, and cost controls.
• Excellent communication: architecture diagrams, ADRs, playbooks, and executive-ready summaries; able to mentor engineers and stewards.

Additionally, experience with

• Azure ecosystem: Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, Event Hub/Service Bus, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Entra ID.
• Performance engineering for Spark/SQL and Warehouse queries; profiling, benchmarking, and capacity planning.
• Prior work in Salesforce/JD Edwards or similar ERP/CRM integrations and reference-data management
