Job Description

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into end-to-end solution designs.
Define architecture for new systems and enhancements, including application architecture, integration patterns, data flows, deployment topology, and non-functional requirements.
Produce architecture artifacts such as solution blueprints, sequence and component diagrams, API contracts, integration plans, and deployment diagrams.
Select and justify technology choices aligned with organizational standards and cost/performance goals.
Drive proof-of-concepts and evaluate third-party products, open-source libraries, and vendor offerings.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during design and implementation, participating in design and code reviews as appropriate.
Define migration strategies for legacy systems (phased migration, strangler pattern, coexistence strategies) and establish/enforce best practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security by design).
Work with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to define deployment, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory/security requirements and performing risk assessments for solutions.
Track project architecture decisions and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs), communicating architecture decisions, trade-offs, and impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
