Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Solution Architect with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is critical in driving our cloud strategy, designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions, and leading their successful implementation across diverse business units. The Solution Architect will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, providing architectural guidance, best practices, and technical leadership to development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical prowess, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills, enabling them to articulate complex cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our cloud infrastructure and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Knowledge of AWS Services: A solid grasp of AWS services is fundamental. This includes knowledge of core services such as Elastic Compute Cloud, Simple Storage Service, Relational Database Service, etc. Understanding how these services interact and knowing their capabilities and limitations is crucial for designing efficient and scalable architectures.

2. Architectural Design: Solutions architects are required to design architects that fulfill specific business requirements. It includes understanding application needs, scalability needs, fault tolerance, and cost optimization. They should be proficient in creating architectures that leverage AWS services effectively while adhering to best practices and architectural principles.

3. Networking & Security: Solutions Architects should understand AWS networking services such as Virtual Private Cloud, Route 53, and CloudFront,and how to create secure and efficient network architecture.

Must have a deep understanding of AWS security features and best practices for securing data, applications, and infrastructure on the cloud. It contains knowledge of identity and access management, encryption methods, network security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a dedicated Solution Architect role designing and implementing cloud solutions.
Deep hands-on expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a strong understanding of their core services, architectural patterns, and best practices.
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (highly preferred) or Associate (required)
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation etc.
Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms (EKS).
Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Amazon EventBridge).
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancing, DNS).
Expertise in cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline,).
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js).
Familiarity with database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, Cloud SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, Firestore, Cassandra).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to executive leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
