Solution Architect Backend (PHP Laravel)

As a Solution Architect specializing in PHP Laravel, your role will involve defining, designing, and guiding the technical direction of the HR Tech platform. You will need to combine your architectural vision with hands-on skills and a strong focus on code quality, reviews, and engineering best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and define scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures using PHP Laravel and modern web technologies. - Lead technical design discussions to ensure alignment between architecture, development, and business goals. - Conduct comprehensive code reviews to maintain performance and adherence to best practices. - Establish coding standards, review processes, and documentation guidelines across teams. - Collaborate with development leads to design modular, reusable, and efficient codebases. - Define integration patterns for APIs, third-party services, and internal microservices. - Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to support scalability and innovation. - Work closely with DevOps to design robust deployment, CI/CD, and monitoring strategies. - Identify and mitigate technical risks during solution design and implementation. - Mentor developers, conduct architecture walkthroughs, and promote a culture of code quality and accountability. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of software development experience with 4+ years in PHP Laravel. - 2+ years in a Solution Architect or Technical Lead role. - Expert-level knowledge of Laravel, RESTful APIs, MVC, and microservices architecture. - Proven experience in conducting rigorous code reviews, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. - Strong proficiency in MySQL, Redis, Queues, Caching, and API optimization. - Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams on design and implementation best practices. **Nice to Have:** - Experience with front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular). - Exposure to SaaS platforms, HR Tech, or enterprise-grade applications. - Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing frameworks.
