Job Title: Solidworks Draughtsman – Moulding

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the design, drafting, and development of moulding tools and components using Solidworks. Supports the design team in mould creation, optimization, maintenance, and documentation, ensuring the quality and efficiency of plastic injection and die-casting moulds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D moulding designs using Solidworks for plastic injection, die casting, and related tooling.
• Prepare engineering drawings and drafting for all stages of tool and mould development.
• Design vertical and horizontal moulds as per requirements and specifications.
• Support part design and drafting for injection moulded and die-cast components.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams for part feasibility evaluations and modifications.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance drafting and propose corrections in mould tools.
• Implement improvements and corrections following Kaizen, 5S, and other workplace improvement methodologies.
• Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM) as per project needs.
• Support materials selection, testing, quality checks, and inspection of assembly parts as per project workflow.
• Document all design changes and manage engineering records as per company protocol.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Solidworks; working knowledge of AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and similar design platforms.
• Good understanding of injection moulding and die-casting tool design, including multi-cavity moulds.
• Hands-on drafting experience for mechanical and mould components.
• Familiarity with press tools, fixtures, and sheet metal part design.
• Application of 2D and 3D design methods for development, prototyping, and corrections.
• Knowledge in Kaizen 5S and continuous improvement tools.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Experience & Education:

• Diploma in Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a design draughtsman in plastics injection moulding or die casting industry.
• Experience with part/mould maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.

Additional Advantage:

• Experience in preparation and inspection of assemblies, mould maintenance, and tool corrections.
• Exposure to BOM creation, material inspection, and quality assurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹34,000.00 per month
