Job Title: Solar PV Structural Design Engineer

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Salary: 30K to 40K

Job description:

1. Design Ground mounted/Rooftop solar PV power plants in AutoCAD

2. Designing solar PV system with panel array layouts, string sizing, Single line diagrams, voltage drop calculation and electrical wiring layouts using AutoCAD.

3. Preparation of shadow analysis reports using AutoCAD/SketchUp

4. Prepared detailed BOM (Bill of Materials) for PV power plants

5. Preparation of electrical layouts and ensure QC

6. Serving as project engineer for commercial and utility scale solar projects.

7. Designing preliminary layouts and final permit packages based on the potential client’s needs and building property specifications.

8. Leading project calculations, component sizing and overall electrical design for solar PV systems.

9. Creating drawings of proposed systems, including solar carports, roof-top solar arrays, and ground-mounted solar arrays.

10.Creating production models using PVSyst, Helioscope and SolarAnywhere.

11.Using AutoCAD and SketchUp to complete design to local AHJ requirements.

12.Comply with building codes, engineering practices, safety codes, regulatory codes, and NEC standards.

13.Coordinating with other members of the engineering and sales team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that designs are feasible and compatible with the property.

14. Attending customer meetings throughout sales and construction cycles.

15. Assist with system monitoring and performance analysis.

Knowledge requirements:

1) Proficient in all facets of latest AutoCAD and Sketch-up software.

2) Experience with PVSyst, Helioscope, and Energy Tool Base

3) Hands on knowledge of solar system

4) Hands on knowledge working with DISCOMs

5) Hands on knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Office Timings: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (With lunch break) Monday to Saturday
