Solar Procurement Officer

You are an experienced and highly skilled Logistics and Procurement Officer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in handling solar PV projects procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing market data and industry benchmarks to uncover insights and identify best practices and savings opportunities for renewable energy projects worldwide. You will develop and execute category strategies based on data insights and category knowledge, evaluate potential suppliers, and independently lead strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring goods receipts from suppliers and deliveries to customers are on time, resolving any delivery issues that may arise, and creating and validating customs and freight documentation. You will work on cost improvement initiatives in inbound, outbound, freight, and customs/duties areas, support local implementation of logistics improvement processes, and synchronize shipment schedules over the supply chain to ensure correct delivery dates to customers. To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical with a minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement and logistics experience. Experience working in Solar projects is a must. You should have strong knowledge of material procurement of solar photovoltaic systems and related technologies, as well as handling end-to-end international shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational skills are essential for this position.
