Solar Installer

As a Solar Energy Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design solar energy systems, which includes both PV and solar thermal systems. You will conduct site assessments to gather necessary information for the design process. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the installation of solar projects, as well as testing and troubleshooting solar equipment. Developing operational procedures for safety and maintenance, along with preparing technical reports and project proposals will also be part of your duties. Ensuring regulatory compliance and effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and other professionals are key aspects of the role. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be expected to create electrical single-line diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software, review specifications, and recommend changes, develop design specifications, and provide technical support during installation and testing. Conducting computer simulations to optimize efficiency, performing financial reviews, and being available for emergencies and outages are also part of your job. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering is typically required for this role. A master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering can be beneficial. Proficiency in computer skills and strong communication abilities are essential for this position. This is a full-time, freelance job with a contract length of 24 months.
