Solar EPC Project Management Head

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Developing and managing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Overseeing all phases of project execution, from design and procurement to construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Team Leadership and Management:

Leading and motivating project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other staff. Providing guidance and support to team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective communication.

Budget and Cost Control:

Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensuring projects are completed within the allocated budget.

Risk Management:

Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. Ensuring projects adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Stakeholder Management:

Maintaining effective communication and relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Managing expectations and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.

Quality Assurance:

Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implementing quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise:

Providing technical guidance and support on solar energy systems, including design, engineering, and construction aspects. Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the solar industry.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

Overseeing the procurement process, including selecting and managing vendors and suppliers. Negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.

P&L of Projects:

Overall responsibility of the P&L of the project.

Maintaining proper cash flows of project in terms of billing, collection and invoicing to client.

Project Monitoring/Planning:

Preparing L1/L2 schedules of the project.

In case EPC projects, preparing the Billing Break up (BBU) for effective cash flows.

Regular Progress reports for clients as well as to the management on weekly/monthly basis.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

Extensive experience (12 - 20 yrs) in solar EPC projects, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
