Software Testing Faculty

Job Title: Software Testing Faculty Location: Kaloor, Cochin Institution: SMEClabs Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contractual Experience Required: 2-5 years (minimum 1 year of teaching/training experience preferred) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Software Testing Faculty to deliver engaging and practical training sessions to students and working professionals. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in both manual and automation testing, with the ability to deliver industry-relevant skills through hands-on sessions and real-time project scenarios. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality training sessions on Manual Testing , Automation Testing (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.) , Bug Tracking Tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) , and Testing Life Cycle . Design and update curriculum as per current industry trends and certification requirements. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to evaluate student progress. Guide students on live or simulated testing projects and assist them with troubleshooting and practical implementations. Provide doubt-clearing sessions and one-on-one mentorship when required. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in the software testing domain. Conduct mock interviews and assist students with placement readiness. Maintain academic and administrative records as per institutional policies. Required Skills: Proficiency in Manual Testing , Automation Testing tools (especially Selenium WebDriver), and scripting languages like Java/Python . Knowledge of testing frameworks like TestNG , JUnit , BDD with Cucumber , etc. Familiarity with Agile , Scrum , and DevOps environments is a plus. Excellent presentation, communication, and mentoring skills. Ability to simplify complex topics for learners with varying skill levels. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certification(s) in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Selenium Tester) is an added advantage. * Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching or corporate training experience. Experience working in a software testing role in the IT industry.
