Software Test Engineer (QA)

As a meticulous Software Tester at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and analyzing system specifications and requirements. - Designing, developing, and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts (manual & automated). - Performing functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs through bug-tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc. - Collaborating with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues. - Validating software fixes and enhancements. - Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring software compliance with business requirements. - Preparing test reports, documentation, and quality metrics. - Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.). - Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer. - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools. - Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Appium). - Good understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries. - Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services testing. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Good communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in testing web and mobile applications. - Knowledge of scripting languages for automation. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
