About Software Tester.
As a manual tester you will be responsible for taking and testing a program or app through a wide range of scenarios.

In this role, you take the place of an end user and use applications as intended, documenting any bugs or glitches.

Of course, however straightforward the definition of the role is, it inherently translates into a whole series of responsibilities for the individual.

Roles & Responsibilities.
Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artefacts.

Execute manual tests and report defects using bug tracking software.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure defects are understood and resolved in a timely manner.

Participate in testing process improvement initiatives.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software testing techniques, tools and methodologies.

Prerequisites.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.

Minimum 1.5+years of experience as a manual tester.

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques and tools.

Good understanding of software development life cycle.

Ability to write and execute clear, concise and comprehensive test cases.

Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools such as Jira.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
