Software Test Engineer II

You will be working in a hybrid mode at Trintech's India GCC (Global Capability Centres) located in Bangalore. As a Software Test Engineer II, your role will involve evaluating software solutions to ensure they meet specifications and requirements before release to customers. You will collaborate with global test engineers to plan, define, and execute testing strategies, tools, and solutions to deliver a world-class product. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, executing, and improving testing processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and client issues, aiming to provide a quality product to customers. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct end-to-end testing activities and execute test plans manually to validate software functionality. - Identify, troubleshoot, report, and track software defects and issues. - Perform functional, performance, automated, and regression testing as required. - Utilize tools to record and report test results and defects, providing feedback to improve the software development process. - Stay updated on industry trends in software testing methodologies and tools. - Participate in planning, analysis, and estimation of backlog requirements. - Collaborate with teams, work with minimal supervision, and meet tight deadlines. - Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, especially around databases, server OS, and application servers. - Learn automation tools and automate test cases where applicable. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with prior work experience in software testing. - Proficiency in SDLC and STLC. - Hands-on experience in functional and systems testing. - Knowledge of tools like Azure DevOps/VSTS is highly desired. - Experience with SQL Server Database and SQL queries preferred. - Familiarity with test automation (preferably selenium) and performance testing tools (LoadNinja) is a plus. - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively. - Previous experience with reconciliation and/or month-end close applications preferred.
